Burlington, VT - Peter Welch, candidate for United States Congress, today filed his most recent campaign finance report with the Federal Election Commission.

In the report covering October 1 through October 18, Welch for Congress reported $256,609.49 raised and has $509,244.71 cash on hand.

To date, over 5,000 Vermonters have contributed to Welch's campaign.

"As the national Republicans have dumped more than $700,000 into my opponent's campaign, I am grateful that the support of over 5,000 Vermonters has allowed me to go toe to toe with their funding," said Welch.

"The support Vermonters have given my campaign is a powerful testament to their commitment to a new direction in Congress," he added.
