Congressman Peter Welch has just spent two days in Iraq as part of a week long congressional oversight committee visit to the Middle East.

VPR's Bob Kinzel, who covers the congressional delegation in Washington, spoke with Welch during the congressman's stopover in Cyprus.

Welch told VPR there have been some important changes in Iraq since his visit last spring.
